The Challenge

Lavanetta Quince from Beautifully Engineered U wanted a logo design for her all natural homemade skin care body butter that highlighted her African American heritage. In addition, she required product stickers and banners designed for face-to-face and online product sales.

The Solution

My focus was to make a simple yet iconic design that incorporated her African American heritage and her STEM career background. The use of the mechanical gears in the design of the hair, was a nod to having “STEM on the brain”.

Fun Facts

  • The design is simple and clean so the client can use it on a variety of products and surfaces (such as stickers, labels, t-shirts, etc).

  • Product labels and stickers are constantly changing, so I created templates in Avery. This allows the client to change products and ingredients as needed without waiting on a third party for a simple updates.

  • The client owns the source files for the designs so her brand can adapt to other markets and media in the future.

I am very pleased with the design work Paris did in helping to create the brand presence for Beautifully Engineered U.

He was very patient and persistent with understanding and bringing to life my ideas. As a small business owner, it is important to have someone that can execute and Paris did that. I highly recommend him for your next design project.
